According to Information Week, it looks like you better watch what you write, or should I say copy.

Zeidman Consulting Monday (Aug. 7) introduced a suite of tools for comparing computer source code to detect such things as plagiarism, copyright infringement, intellectual property theft and patent infringement.

In the music area, I'm sure you heard of Napster, RIAA, Kazaa, etc.  I'm sure others are "sharing" written works, as well.  I must say it is easy these days, with the internet and all, to copy other people's work.  Of course, some folks do not look too kindly on that kind of sharing.
